Registered Veterinary Technician
Julie has been practicing as and RVT in the Equine industry since 2009. Since then she has spent time in all areas of the equine world which made her an excellent addition to Energy Equine in 2016. Julie lives in Southern Alberta with her son Garrett and enjoys the mom life being involved in Scouts and volunteering with a local wildlife sanctuary.
Registered Veterinary Technician
Coming to Energy Equine early in 2017, Megan quickly found herself the perfect fit as part of the team. After graduating in 2013, Megan started off in an Equine breeding facility and moved onto an equine general practice clinic afterwards. Having an interest in Equine Sports Medicine led Megan to Energy Equine and thus a move to Southern Alberta with her 2 horses, Pre and Candid.
Administrator, Plumber and babysitter
Breann joined Dr. Hewlett in 2012 and most know her as the glue that holds Energy Equine together. Breann has spent the years managing the practice, Dr. Hewlett and all things within it. Starting out as a human Dental assistant, Breann is also currently active with the National Dental Assisting Examining Board. On top of all this she managed to find time to gain her diploma in Applied Nutrition and is now a Certified Holistic Nutritionist. Breann and her husband have settled on an acreage in southern Alberta with their horses Hank and Sonny.
PR and Marketing
Crystal comes to Energy Equine from the dairy nutrition industry. Looking for a career closer to her interests, she made the leap to Energy Equine in 2016 and quickly found her niche within the clinic. Originally from British Columbia, Crystal spent 10 years with a veterinary buying group which has helped her fit into several aspects of the clinic. With Energy Equine moving into the new facility in 2016, she has taken on the role of arranging events and lectures, as well as marketing. Crystal lives in southern Alberta with her husband, three kids, three dogs and four horses.
Lyndsey joined the practice in 2017 coming from the small animal world. While going to school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician, Lyndsey suffered a broken neck after falling from a horse and her path was put on hold. Lyndsey has persevered through her injury and has stayed active riding horses after her recovery. When you call the clinic, Lyndsey is one of the voices that will greet you on the phone and she loves meeting clients and patients. Lyndsey lives in the Calgary area with her horse Quinn.
Allison joined the Energy Equine team in June of 2017. Born and raised in Calgary, Allison has cultivated a lifelong passion for horses. She graduated from the Instrumentation Engineering Technology program in 2014 at SAIT in Calgary, but decided to pursue a career working with horses soon after. She plans to attend the Olds College Animal Health Technology program in the near future. When not studying, Allison can be found trail riding and packing in the mountains with her two Appaloosa geldings, Dreamer and Spitfire.
Allie Lait joined Energy Equine in 2012. Raised in a Rodeo and Ranching family in Southern Alberta, Allie attended the Texas Institute of Equine Dentistry and graduated in 2010. She then went on to obtain her Diploma in Animal Health Technology in 2012. As an avid barrel horse trainer and competitor herself, Allie has a thorough understanding of both the health and performance aspects
Dani comes to Energy Equine from the small animal world. After graduating as a Registered Veterinary Technician from Olds College in 2014, Dani moved on to Clinic Management in small animal practice with an interest in Exotic Animals. Living in the Calgary area, she enjoys the outdoors by hunting, fishing, and spends her time with her significant other, 2 dogs and 3 cats.
